About Fred Kreger
CMC began working at American Family Funding in 2002 and has served as branch manager since 2008.
Fred oversees origination, processing, member care, credit union portfolio reviews and financial portfolio reviews. With over 20 years of experience in operations and customer service, he trains loan officers and credit unions in customer service and sales skills. Fred received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Organizational Systems Management from California State University, Northridge.
Fred is an active member in both the California Association of Mortgage Professionals (CAMP) and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB). He is State Past-President for CAMP and sits on the NAMB Board of Directors as their Vice Chair for Government Affairs. Fred is an advocate for the mortgage industry, speaking at the Federal and State levels regularly on government affairs on the current state of mortgage lending as well as to other mortgage professionals and credit unions. In addition to regularly writing articles on industry issues he has been called to testify in front of the California State Legislature and the US Congressional House Financial Services Committee.
Fred has been married to Debbie for over 20 years and resides in Santa Clarita, California with their 3 daughters. Fred is very involved in the community, serving on the Board of Directors for the MS Golf Classic for the National MS Society and annually volunteers for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. He is also on the governing board of The Valley Industry Association (VIA) of Santa Clarita, which represents business interests throughout the Santa Clarita Valley, providing members the opportunity to network and collaborate on a broad range of business issues.
